Story of noah builds an ark – नूह द्वारा एक जहाज़ बनाने की कहानी
Long ago, in a world filled with wickedness and corruption, God looked down upon humanity and saw that their hearts were filled with evil. Sorrowed by the state of the world, God decided to cleanse the earth with a great flood and start anew. But among all the people, there was one man who found favor in God’s eyes because he was righteous and blameless: Noah.
God spoke to Noah and revealed His plan to bring a flood that would destroy all life on earth. However, God instructed Noah to build an ark to save himself, his family, and two of every kind of living creature—male and female. God provided Noah with specific instructions on how to build the ark: its dimensions, materials, and even how to seal it with pitch inside and out.
Noah obediently followed God’s instructions. He and his sons—Shem, Ham, and Japheth—worked tirelessly to build the enormous ark. It was 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high, with three decks inside. They gathered food and provisions for themselves and the animals that would come to them.
When the ark was completed, God commanded Noah to bring into the ark two of every kind of living creature, both male and female, as well as seven pairs of clean animals for sacrifices. Noah did everything just as God had commanded him. Then Noah, his wife, his sons, and their wives entered the ark, and God shut the door behind them.
The rain began to fall, and the springs of the great deep burst forth. Water covered the earth for forty days and forty nights, rising higher and higher until even the highest mountains were submerged. Every living thing that moved on the earth perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, and all mankind.
But Noah and those with him in the ark were safe. After 150 days, God remembered Noah and caused a wind to blow over the earth, and the waters began to recede. The ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. After another forty days, Noah opened a window he had made in the ark and sent out a raven. It kept flying back and forth until the waters had dried up from the earth.
Noah then sent out a dove to see if the waters had receded. The dove found no place to set its feet and returned to the ark. After seven more days, Noah sent the dove out again, and it returned with a freshly plucked olive leaf! Noah knew that the waters were receding. He waited another seven days and sent the dove out once more, and this time, it did not return.
Finally, God commanded Noah to come out of the ark with his family and all the animals. Noah built an altar to the Lord and offered burnt offerings of the clean animals. Pleased with the sacrifice, God promised never to curse the ground again because of humans, even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. God set a rainbow in the clouds as a sign of this covenant, promising that never again would there be a flood to destroy the earth.
Noah’s faith and obedience had saved him and his family, and they began to repopulate the earth. From then on, the rainbow served as a reminder of God’s promise and His mercy towards humanity.
