The story of saul being suddenly blinded by a bright light – शाऊल की तेज रोशनी से अचानक अंधी हो जाने की कहानी
The story of Saul being suddenly blinded by a bright light is a pivotal moment in the Bible, found in Acts 9:1-19. Saul, who later became known as the Apostle Paul, was a fierce persecutor of Christians. He traveled from city to city, arresting and imprisoning followers of Jesus. On one such journey to Damascus, Saul had an encounter that changed his life forever.
As Saul neared Damascus, a bright light from heaven suddenly flashed around him, and he fell to the ground. In that moment, he heard a voice saying, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” Confused, Saul asked, “Who are you, Lord?” The voice responded, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
When Saul got up, he realized he had been blinded. His companions had to lead him by hand into Damascus, where he remained blind for three days, neither eating nor drinking.
During this time, a Christian named Ananias received a vision from the Lord, instructing him to go to Saul. Despite his initial fear, knowing Saul’s reputation as a persecutor, Ananias obeyed.
When Ananias found Saul, he laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he regained his sight. He was then baptized, marking the beginning of his transformation from a persecutor of Christians to one of the most influential apostles of the Christian faith.
Saul, now Paul, became a devoted follower of Jesus, spreading the message of the Gospel far and wide, despite facing many hardships.
