The story of Peter healing a man is recounted in the New Testament book of Acts, specifically in Acts 3:1-10.

Peter and John, two prominent apostles of Jesus, were on their way to the temple in Jerusalem to pray. As they approached the temple gate called Beautiful, they encountered a man who had been lame from birth and was being carried there daily to beg for alms.

When the lame man saw Peter and John about to enter the temple, he asked them for money. Peter, filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, looked intently at the man and said, “Look at us!” The man turned his attention to them, expecting to receive something from them.

Peter then declared, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!” With these words, Peter took the man by the right hand and helped him up.

Instantly, the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. He entered the temple with Peter and John, walking, leaping, and praising God.

The people who witnessed this miraculous healing were filled with amazement and astonishment. They recognized the lame man as the one who used to sit begging at the temple gate. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

Peter used this miraculous healing as an opportunity to preach the gospel message to the crowd, proclaiming Jesus as the source of this healing and calling the people to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

This story highlights the power of God working through the apostles, particularly Peter, to perform miracles and bring glory to God. It also demonstrates the compassion of Peter and John, who took the time to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the lame man, ultimately leading to his healing and transformation.
