The story of paul speaking to agrippa – पौलुस की अग्रिप्पा से बात करने की कहानी

The story of Paul speaking to Agrippa is found in the New Testament, specifically in the book of Acts, chapter 26.

Paul, also known as Saul of Tarsus, was a Jewish Pharisee who initially persecuted Christians but later became one of the most influential figures in the early Christian church after his conversion to Christianity. During one of his missionary journeys, Paul was arrested in Jerusalem and brought before Roman authorities.

King Agrippa II, along with his sister Bernice, came to Caesarea to pay their respects to the new governor, Festus. Festus informed Agrippa about Paul’s case, and Agrippa expressed interest in hearing Paul speak. Paul was brought before Agrippa, and he began his defense by acknowledging Agrippa’s knowledge of Jewish customs and beliefs. Paul recounted his early life as a devout Pharisee and his persecution of Christians. He then described his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, which led to his conversion. Paul explained that he was called by Jesus to preach the gospel to both Jews and Gentiles, to turn them from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.

He also spoke about his ministry and the opposition he faced from Jews who rejected Jesus as the Messiah. Paul emphasized his belief in the resurrection of the dead, which was a point of contention between the Pharisees and Sadducees. He concluded by appealing to Agrippa, asking him if he believed the prophets, to which Agrippa responded, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian” (Acts 26:28).

After Paul’s defense, Agrippa and Festus conferred and agreed that Paul had done nothing deserving of death or imprisonment. Agrippa told Festus that Paul could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar, indicating that Paul’s case did not warrant a trial before the emperor. However, since Paul had appealed to Caesar, he was sent to Rome under Roman guard to stand trial before Caesar.

Paul’s defense before Agrippa is a significant moment in his ministry, as it provided him with the opportunity to proclaim the gospel before a prominent ruler. Despite facing opposition and imprisonment, Paul remained steadfast in his faith and continued to preach the message of Jesus Christ. The story highlights Paul’s courage, eloquence, and commitment to spreading the gospel, even in the face of adversity.
