The disciples did as Jesus instructed, and they brought the donkey and its colt to Jesus. He then mounted the donkey, fulfilling the prophecy of Zechariah 9:9, which said, “Say to Daughter Zion, ‘See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.'”
