The story of jesus rescuing a woman caught in adultery – यीशु द्वारा व्यभिचार में पकड़ी गई एक महिला को बचाने की कहानी

The story of Jesus rescuing a woman caught in adultery is found in the Gospel of John, specifically in John 8:1-11.

One day, Jesus is teaching in the temple courts when a group of scribes and Pharisees bring a woman to him who had been caught in the act of adultery. They present her to Jesus and remind him that according to the law of Moses, such a woman should be stoned to death. They ask Jesus for his opinion on the matter, seeking to trap him.

Instead of immediately answering them, Jesus bends down and begins to write on the ground with his finger, ignoring their demands. When they continue to press him for an answer, Jesus stands up and says to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”

After saying this, Jesus continues to write on the ground. One by one, beginning with the older ones, the accusers leave, convicted by their own consciences, until only Jesus and the woman remain. Jesus then asks the woman where her accusers are and if anyone has condemned her. She replies that no one has.

Jesus then declares, “Neither do I condemn you. Go now and leave your life of sin.”

This powerful encounter demonstrates Jesus’ compassion, mercy, and wisdom. He does not condone the woman’s sin but offers her forgiveness and a new beginning. At the same time, he exposes the hypocrisy of her accusers, who were more interested in trapping Jesus than in upholding justice or showing mercy.

This story highlights Jesus’ role as the embodiment of God’s grace and truth, offering forgiveness and redemption to all who come to him with repentant hearts. It also challenges us to examine our own attitudes toward sin, judgment, and mercy, reminding us of the importance of humility and compassion in our interactions with others.
