The story of jesus helping a father by healing his daughter – यीशु द्वारा एक पिता की बेटी को ठीक करके मदद करने की कहानी

The story of Jesus helping a father by healing his daughter is a powerful account of faith and miracles. This narrative is found in the Gospels of Matthew (9:18-26), Mark (5:21-43), and Luke (8:40-56). It highlights Jesus’ compassion and divine power, as well as the faith of a desperate father named Jairus.

Jairus was a synagogue leader, a man of considerable standing in the community. Despite his status, he found himself in a desperate situation: his twelve-year-old daughter was gravely ill, near death. Hearing about Jesus and His miraculous healings, Jairus humbled himself and went to find Him. When he saw Jesus, he fell at His feet and pleaded earnestly, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.”

Jesus, moved by Jairus’ faith and desperation, agreed to go with him. As they began their journey, a large crowd followed, pressing around them.

On the way to Jairus’ house, the journey was interrupted by another person in need. A woman who had been suffering from chronic bleeding for twelve years approached Jesus in the crowd. She believed that if she could just touch His clothes, she would be healed. Pushing through the crowd, she managed to touch the edge of His cloak. Immediately, her bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

Jesus, aware that power had gone out from Him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” The disciples were puzzled by His question, given the pressing crowd. However, the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at His feet, trembling with fear. She told Him the whole truth.

Jesus responded with kindness, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

While Jesus was still speaking to the woman, some people came from Jairus’ house with tragic news: “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?” Jairus’ heart must have sunk at these words.

However, Jesus overheard their message and immediately reassured Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” Jesus’ words renewed Jairus’ hope, and they continued on to his house.

Upon arriving at Jairus’ house, they were greeted by a scene of mourning and wailing. Jesus took charge, telling the mourners, “The child is not dead but asleep.” The mourners laughed at Him, knowing she was dead. But Jesus put them all outside and took only the child’s parents and His three disciples—Peter, James, and John—into the room where the child was.

Jesus took the girl by the hand and said, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). Immediately, the girl stood up and began to walk around. She was twelve years old. The parents were astonished and overwhelmed with amazement.

Jesus gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this and told them to give her something to eat, demonstrating His care for both her physical and spiritual well-being.

Jairus’ faith, even in desperation, moved Jesus to act. Despite his high status, he humbly sought Jesus’ help, showing that faith requires humility and recognition of one’s need for divine intervention. Jesus’ response to both Jairus and the suffering woman highlights His compassion. He is moved by faith and responds with love and power to those in need. Jesus’ words to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe,” are a powerful reminder to trust in Him, even when circumstances seem hopeless. The miracle demonstrates Jesus’ authority over life and death, affirming His divine identity and power.

The story of Jesus helping Jairus by raising his daughter from the dead is a testament to His compassion, power, and the importance of faith. It encourages believers to trust in Jesus’ ability to bring life and hope into even the most desperate situations.
