Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” Bartimaeus replied, “Rabbi, I want to see.” Jesus said, “Go, your faith has healed you,” and immediately Bartimaeus received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
As Jesus passed by, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. His disciples asked if the man’s blindness was due to his own sins or his parents’. Jesus answered that it was neither, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. He then spat on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. Two blind men followed Jesus, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When Jesus went indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; and their sight was restored.
