The story of jesus healing the blind – यीशु द्वारा अंधों को ठीक करने की कहानी

The story of Jesus healing the blind is a recurring theme in the Gospels, showcasing his miraculous powers and compassion. There are several instances in the New Testament where Jesus heals individuals who are blind.

As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city of Jericho, a blind man named Bartimaeus was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more. Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” The blind man threw his cloak aside, jumped to his feet, and came to Jesus. Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” Bartimaeus replied, “Rabbi, I want to see.” Jesus said, “Go, your faith has healed you,” and immediately Bartimaeus received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.

As Jesus passed by, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. His disciples asked if the man’s blindness was due to his own sins or his parents’. Jesus answered that it was neither, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. He then spat on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. He told the man to go wash in the Pool of Siloam. The man went, washed, and came home seeing. This miracle not only demonstrates Jesus’ power but also his willingness to challenge existing beliefs about sin and suffering.

Two blind men followed Jesus, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When Jesus went indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; and their sight was restored.

These stories of Jesus healing the blind are significant for several reasons. They demonstrate his authority and power over physical ailments, affirm his identity as the Messiah (the Son of David), and illustrate the importance of faith in receiving healing. Additionally, they show Jesus’ compassion and willingness to respond to those in need, regardless of societal norms that often marginalized individuals with disabilities.
