As they marched toward the enemy camp, Jehoshaphat appointed singers to go ahead of the army, praising God. When they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the enemies, causing confusion and leading them to attack one another.
When the people of Judah arrived at the lookout post overlooking the wilderness, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; not a single enemy had escaped. Jehoshaphat and his men gathered the spoils of war, including riches and valuables, which took them three days to collect.
With the victory secured, Jehoshaphat and the people returned to Jerusalem, rejoicing and praising God for His deliverance.
