The story of abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son isaac – अब्राहम की अपने बेटे इसहाक की बलि चढ़ाने की इच्छा की कहानी

The story of Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son Isaac, also known as the Binding of Isaac or the Akedah, is a significant event in the biblical narrative found in the Book of Genesis.

God tested Abraham by commanding him to take his only son Isaac, whom he loved, to the region of Moriah and offer him as a burnt offering on a mountain that God would show him. Without questioning, Abraham obeyed and set out with Isaac and two servants.

After three days of traveling, Abraham saw the place in the distance. He told the servants to wait with the donkey while he and Isaac went ahead to worship. As they walked, Isaac asked his father where the lamb for the burnt offering was. Abraham replied that God would provide the lamb.

When they reached the place, Abraham built an altar and arranged the wood. Then he bound Isaac and placed him on the altar on top of the wood. As Abraham reached out his hand to slaughter his son, an angel of the Lord called out to him from heaven, saying, “Abraham, Abraham! Do not lay a hand on the boy. Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”

Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught by its horns in a thicket. He took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. Abraham called the place “The Lord Will Provide,” and it has been said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”

The angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time from heaven and reaffirmed His promise, saying, “I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore.”

Abraham and Isaac then returned to the servants and went back to Beersheba together.

This story is often seen as a demonstration of Abraham’s great faith and obedience to God, as well as God’s faithfulness and provision. It is a profound example of trust in God’s plan, even when it seems incomprehensible or difficult.
