Story of the parable of the sower – बोने वाले के दृष्टांत की कहानी

The Parable of the Sower is a well-known teaching of Jesus found in the Gospels of Matthew (13:1-23), Mark (4:1-20), and Luke (8:4-15).

Jesus tells a parable to a large crowd gathered around him. He begins by describing a sower who went out to sow seeds. As the sower scattered the seeds, some fell along the path, where they were trampled underfoot and eaten by birds. Some fell on rocky ground, where there was not much soil, and they sprang up quickly but withered away because they had no depth of soil. Other seeds fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still, other seeds fell on good soil, where they produced a crop—a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown.

# After telling the parable, Jesus explains its meaning to his disciples:

1. The seeds represent the word of God, or the message of the kingdom of God, which is spread to everyone.

2. The different types of soil represent the different responses people have to hearing the word of God:

– The seeds that fell along the path represent those who hear the word but do not understand it, and the devil comes and takes it away from their hearts.

– The seeds that fell on rocky ground represent those who receive the word with joy but have no root, and when trouble or persecution arises because of the word, they quickly fall away.

– The seeds that fell among thorns represent those who hear the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.

– The seeds that fell on good soil represent those who hear the word, understand it, and bear fruit—some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.

This parable teaches about the importance of receiving God’s word with an open and receptive heart, allowing it to take root and produce fruit in our lives. It also highlights the various obstacles and distractions that can hinder our response to God’s word, emphasizing the need for perseverance and steadfastness in faith.
