Story of isaiah prophecies about messiah – मसीहा के बारे में यशायाह की भविष्यवाणियों की कहानी

The prophecies of Isaiah regarding a Messiah are found in the Book of Isaiah, a major prophetic book of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament). Isaiah lived in the 8th century BCE and his prophecies are traditionally divided into two parts: First Isaiah (chapters 1-39) and Second Isaiah (chapters 40-66).

In Isaiah’s prophecies, there are several passages that are commonly interpreted by Christians as referring to Jesus Christ as the Messiah, although interpretations may vary among different religious traditions. Some key passages include:

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” Christians interpret this verse as a prophecy of the virgin birth of Jesus Christ.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.” This passage is often seen as a prophecy of the coming of Jesus Christ as a divine ruler and prince of peace.

This chapter is known as the “Suffering Servant” passage and is widely interpreted by Christians as a prophecy of the suffering and death of Jesus Christ. It describes a figure who suffers unjustly, bears the sins of others, and ultimately brings about redemption through his sacrifice.

These are just a few examples of the prophecies in Isaiah that are believed by Christians to foreshadow the coming of Jesus Christ as the Messiah. These passages are often cited in the New Testament to demonstrate Jesus’ fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy.
