The angel reaffirmed God’s promise to bless Abraham and his descendants and commended him for his obedience and faithfulness. Abraham then noticed a ram caught in a thicket nearby, which he offered as a burnt offering in place of Isaac.
God reiterated His covenant with Abraham, promising to multiply his descendants and bless all nations through his offspring because he had obeyed God’s voice.
