Story of god helping king hezekiah – भगवान ने राजा हिजकिय्याह की मदद की कहानी

In the ancient kingdom of Judah, there ruled a righteous king named Hezekiah. Hezekiah was known for his unwavering faith in God and his dedication to leading his people in the ways of righteousness. Hezekiah’s reign was marked by religious reforms, as he sought to restore the worship of the true God, tearing down idols and re-establishing the temple practices.

One fateful day, a great threat arose against Judah. The mighty Assyrian army, led by King Sennacherib, invaded the land, conquering cities and striking fear into the hearts of the people. Sennacherib sent messengers to Jerusalem, where Hezekiah ruled, with a terrifying message. The Assyrian king boasted of his many victories and ridiculed Hezekiah’s trust in God, demanding the surrender of Jerusalem.

Hezekiah, deeply troubled by this threat, sought the Lord’s guidance. He tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, and went to the temple of the Lord. He also sent his officials to the prophet Isaiah to seek his counsel and prayers. Isaiah assured Hezekiah that God had heard his prayers and that Judah would be delivered from the hands of the Assyrians.

That night, Hezekiah took the letter from Sennacherib, which was filled with blasphemous threats, and spread it out before the Lord in the temple. He prayed earnestly, saying, “O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, You alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. Give ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; listen to all the words Sennacherib has sent to insult the living God.”

God responded to Hezekiah’s heartfelt prayer through the prophet Isaiah. God assured Hezekiah that He would defend the city and save it for His sake and for the sake of David, His servant. That very night, the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 soldiers in the Assyrian camp. When the people of Jerusalem woke up the next morning, they saw the bodies of the dead soldiers, and Sennacherib was forced to withdraw his army in shame and return to his land.

This miraculous deliverance demonstrated God’s power and faithfulness to those who trust in Him. Hezekiah’s unwavering faith and fervent prayers had moved God to protect His people in their time of dire need. The story of Hezekiah serves as a powerful reminder of God’s willingness to help and deliver those who earnestly seek Him, showing that no earthly power can stand against the Almighty when He chooses to act on behalf of His faithful ones.
