The angel said, “Do not lay a hand on the boy… Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” Abraham then saw a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. He sacrificed the ram in place of Isaac.
God provided the ram as a substitute for Isaac, reaffirming His promise to Abraham. God blessed Abraham and reiterated that through his offspring, all nations on earth would be blessed because of his obedience.
