नहीं। बाइबल में लिखा है कि हमें सिर्फ परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करनी चाहिए, लेकिन यीशु के नाम से। यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों से कहा था, “तुम इस रीति से प्रार्थना किया करो: ‘हे हमारे पिता, तू जो स्वर्ग में है; तेरा नाम पवित्र माना जाए।’” (मत्ती 6:9, हिंदी—ओ.वी.) यीशु ने कभी अपने शिष्यों से यह नहीं कहा कि वे संतों से, स्वर्गदूतों से या परमेश्वर के अलावा किसी और से प्रार्थना करें।
यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों से यह भी कहा था, “मार्ग और सच्चाई और जीवन मैं ही हूं; बिना मेरे द्वारा कोई पिता के पास नहीं पहुंच सकता।” (यूहन्ना 14:6, हिंदी—ओ.वी.) परमेश्वर ने यीशु को ही यह अधिकार दिया है कि वह हमारी खातिर बिनती करे।—इब्रानियों 7:25.
क्या हम परमेश्वर के साथ-साथ संतों से भी प्रार्थना कर सकते हैं?
परमेश्वर ने जब दस आज्ञाएँ दी थीं, तो यह भी कहा था, “मैं तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा जलन रखने वाला ईश्वर हूं।” (निर्गमन 20:5, हिंदी—ओ.वी.) इसका क्या मतलब है? नयी दुनिया अनुवाद बाइबल में इस आयत का यूँ अनुवाद किया गया है: “मैं तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा माँग करता हूँ कि सिर्फ मेरी भक्ति की जाए, मुझे छोड़ किसी और की नहीं।” इसका मतलब है कि परमेश्वर चाहता है कि हम सिर्फ और सिर्फ उसकी उपासना करें और उसी से प्रार्थना करें।—यशायाह 48:11.
परमेश्वर को बहुत बुरा लगता है जब हम संतों से, स्वर्गदूतों से या किसी और से प्रार्थना करते हैं। एक बार प्रेषित यूहन्ना एक स्वर्गदूत के सामने गिर पड़ा और उसकी उपासना करने ही वाला था कि तभी स्वर्गदूत ने उसे रोका और कहा, “नहीं, नहीं, ऐसा मत कर! मैं तो सिर्फ तेरे और तेरे भाइयों की तरह एक दास हूँ, जिन्हें यीशु की गवाही देने का काम मिला है। परमेश्वर की उपासना कर।”—प्रकाशितवाक्य 19:10.
Should we pray to saints?

No. It is written in the Bible that we should pray to God only, but in the name of Jesus. Jesus told his disciples, “Pray in this way: ‘Our Father, you who are in heaven; Let your name be holy.’” (Matthew 6:9—ov) Jesus never told his disciples to pray to saints, to angels, or to anyone other than God.
Jesus also told his disciples, “I am the way and the truth and the life; No one can reach the Father without me.” (John 14:6, English—ov) God has given Jesus the authority to make intercession in our behalf.—Hebrews 7:25.
Can we pray to God as well as the saints?
When God gave the Ten Commandments, he also said, “I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God.” (Exodus 20:5, English—OV) What does this mean? New World Translation This verse is translated in the Bible as: “I, Jehovah your God, ask that only I be worshiped, and no one else but me.” This means that God wants us to worship and pray to Him only and only.—Isaiah 48:11.
God hates us when we pray to saints, angels, or anyone else. Once the apostle John fell before an angel and was about to worship him when the angel stopped him and said, “No, no, don’t do that! I am only a slave like you and your brothers, who have been given the task of bearing witness to Jesus. Worship God.”—Revelation 19:10.
