Samson tells a secret story – सैमसन एक रहस्य बताता है कहानी
In the ancient land of Philistia, whispers of a man with unmatched strength spread far and wide. His name was Samson, a Nazirite from birth, dedicated to God with a vow that granted him supernatural power. The secret of his strength was known to only a few, and it lay in his uncut hair, a symbol of his unbroken vow.
Samson had been a thorn in the side of the Philistines for years, thwarting their plans and wreaking havoc on their armies. Desperate to subdue him, the Philistine leaders sought a way to uncover the source of his strength.
In the city of Gaza, lived a beautiful woman named Delilah. Her charm and intelligence were renowned, and it wasn’t long before Samson fell in love with her. Seeing an opportunity, the Philistine leaders approached Delilah with a proposition.
“Find out the secret of Samson’s strength,” they urged her, “and each of us will give you eleven hundred pieces of silver.”
Delilah, enticed by the promise of wealth, agreed. She began to coax Samson, using her beauty and wiles to draw out his secret.
“Tell me, Samson,” she asked one evening as they reclined in her home, “what is the source of your great strength? How can you be bound and subdued?”
Samson, suspicious of her motives, lied. “If they bind me with seven fresh bowstrings that have not been dried, then I shall become weak and be like any other man.”
Delilah relayed this information to the Philistine leaders, who provided her with the bowstrings. While Samson slept, she bound him with them and then called out, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” But when he awoke, he snapped the bowstrings as if they were threads.
Delilah was undeterred. She pressed him again, her voice sweet but insistent. “You mocked me and lied to me. Please, tell me how you can be bound.”
Samson, still cautious, told her another lie. “If they bind me with new ropes that have never been used, then I shall become weak and be like any other man.”
Again, Delilah relayed his words, and again, while Samson slept, she bound him with new ropes. But when she cried out, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” he broke free effortlessly.
Delilah’s frustration grew, and she confronted Samson once more. “You have mocked me and told me lies. Tell me how you can be bound.”
This time, Samson said, “If you weave the seven locks of my head into the fabric on the loom and tighten it with a pin, then I shall become weak and be like any other man.”
Delilah did as he said, but once more, Samson’s strength prevailed, and he freed himself.
Desperate and feeling betrayed, Delilah pleaded with him, her eyes filled with tears. “How can you say you love me when your heart is not with me? You have mocked me these three times and have not told me where your great strength lies.”
Day after day, she pressed him with her words, until Samson’s soul was vexed to death. Finally, unable to bear her nagging any longer, he revealed his secret.
“My hair has never been cut,” he confessed, “for I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother’s womb. If my head were shaved, then my strength would leave me, and I would become weak and be like any other man.”
Delilah knew that he had told her the truth this time. She sent word to the Philistine leaders, who came with silver in hand. As Samson slept on her lap, she called for a man to shave off the seven locks of his hair. His strength left him, and she began to torment him, saying, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!”
Samson awoke and tried to shake himself free as before, but he did not realize that the Lord had departed from him. The Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes, and brought him to Gaza, binding him with bronze shackles. They set him to grinding grain in the prison, a shadow of the man he once was.
However, Samson’s story did not end there. As he toiled in the prison, his hair began to grow back. The Philistines, in their arrogance, forgot the source of his strength and held a great feast to celebrate their god Dagon, believing they had finally conquered their greatest foe.
In their revelry, they brought Samson out to entertain them. Standing between the pillars of the temple, Samson prayed to the Lord, “O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!”
With renewed strength, Samson pushed against the pillars with all his might. The temple collapsed, killing him and thousands of Philistines, achieving his final victory in death.
The secret of Samson’s strength was not just in his hair, but in his dedication to God, a dedication that even in his darkest hour, brought him redemption and fulfilled his destiny.
