Precious Father, Your word says that a soldier who is enlisted in war does not entangle himself/herself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he/she may please the one who enlisted them.
Lord, You know the sacrifices required for me to do well on my basic training and although I aim to please those who have enlisted me, I pray that my ultimate aim is to please You. While they teach me to be honorable, let my honor and loyalty reside with You, Amen.
