Jesus turns water into wine: bible story – यीशु ने पानी को शराब में बदल दिया: बाइबिल कहानी

The story of Jesus turning water into wine is found in the New Testament of the Bible, specifically in the Gospel of John, chapter 2, verses 1-11. This event is often referred to as Jesus’ first miracle or the Wedding at Cana.

According to the narrative, Jesus and his disciples were invited to a wedding feast in the town of Cana in Galilee. During the celebration, the hosts ran out of wine, which would have been considered a great embarrassment and social faux pas in that culture.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, was also present at the wedding. She approached Jesus and informed him of the situation. Although Jesus initially responded by saying, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come,” Mary instructed the servants to do whatever Jesus told them.

In response, Jesus instructed the servants to fill six stone jars with water. These jars were typically used for ceremonial washing, and each jar had a capacity of 20 to 30 gallons. After the servants filled the jars, Jesus told them to draw some of the water and take it to the master of the feast.

When the master of the feast tasted the water, it had miraculously been transformed into wine. Furthermore, the master of the feast praised the bridegroom for saving the best wine for last, contrary to the usual practice of serving the best wine first.

This miraculous event demonstrated Jesus’ divine power and confirmed his authority as the Son of God. It also revealed his compassion and willingness to meet the needs of people. The story of Jesus turning water into wine is often interpreted as a symbol of Jesus’ ability to bring joy, abundance, and transformation into people’s lives.
