Jesus raised the dead story – यीशु ने मृतकों को जीवित किया कहानी
One of the most well-known stories of Jesus raising the dead is the account of Lazarus found in the New Testament of the Bible, in the Gospel of John, chapter 11.
Lazarus, a friend of Jesus, became seriously ill. His sisters, Mary and Martha, sent word to Jesus, saying, “Lord, the one you love is sick.” Despite receiving the message, Jesus remained where he was for two more days before deciding to go to Bethany, where Lazarus lived.
By the time Jesus arrived in Bethany, Lazarus had already died and had been in the tomb for four days. Martha went out to meet Jesus and expressed her grief, saying, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” Jesus assured Martha that her brother would rise again.
Jesus then went to the tomb, which was a cave with a stone covering the entrance. He commanded that the stone be removed. Despite Martha’s concern about the smell of the decaying body, Jesus insisted, saying, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” After the stone was removed, Jesus prayed to God, thanking Him for hearing Him and then called out in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” To everyone’s astonishment, Lazarus emerged from the tomb, still wrapped in burial cloths.
The crowd witnessing this miracle was filled with amazement and began to believe in Jesus as the Messiah. However, some went to the religious authorities and reported what Jesus had done.
The raising of Lazarus was one of the most significant miracles performed by Jesus. It not only demonstrated his power over death but also foreshadowed his own resurrection. This miracle intensified the opposition against Jesus among the religious leaders, leading to their plot to arrest and kill him.
The story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead highlights his compassion, authority, and ability to conquer death itself, offering hope to believers in eternal life through faith in him.
