Story of pilate judging jesus – पीलातुस द्वारा यीशु का न्याय करने की कहानी
Story of Pilate judging Jesus is found in the New Testament of the Bible, particularly in the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
According to the Gospels, after Jesus was arrested by the Jewish religious leaders, he was brought before Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Judea, to face trial. The religious leaders accused Jesus of blasphemy and of claiming to be the King of the Jews, which was seen as a challenge to Roman authority.
Pilate questioned Jesus, asking him if he was the king of the Jews. Jesus replied, “You have said so,” but he did not offer any further defense. Despite finding no fault in Jesus, Pilate was under pressure from the religious leaders and the crowd, who were calling for Jesus to be crucified.
Pilate then tried to avoid condemning Jesus by offering to release him as part of a Passover tradition. However, the crowd, at the instigation of the religious leaders, demanded the release of Barabbas, a notorious criminal, instead of Jesus.
Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, gave in to their demands and released Barabbas, while he handed Jesus over to be crucified. Before doing so, he symbolically washed his hands, declaring himself innocent of Jesus’ blood.
Jesus was then led away to be crucified, fulfilling the prophecy and leading to his death on the cross. This event is central to Christian belief as it represents Jesus’ sacrifice for the sins of humanity and his triumph over death through his resurrection.
