Elisha helps a widow story – एलीशा एक विधवा की मदद करती है कहानी
In a time of need, a widow of a prophet approached Elisha, the man of God. She was in great distress, explaining that her husband had died and left her with debts she could not pay. The creditor was coming to take her two sons as slaves to settle the debt.
Elisha asked her, “What do you have in your house?” She replied, “Your servant has nothing there at all, except a small jar of olive oil.”
Elisha instructed her, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. Then go inside, shut the door behind you and your sons, and pour oil into all the jars. As each is filled, set it aside.”
The widow obeyed Elisha’s instructions. She and her sons gathered many jars, and as she poured the oil, it miraculously kept flowing until every jar was filled. When there were no more jars left, the oil stopped flowing.
She went back to Elisha and told him what had happened. He said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.”
Through God’s provision and Elisha’s guidance, the widow was not only able to pay her debts but also had enough to sustain her family. This miracle showed God’s care for those in distress and His power to provide in seemingly impossible situations.
